「美國是現今全球最大的能源出口國。美國的優勢在於擁有各式各樣的能源，世界上其他國家都無可比擬。美國有傳統化石燃料如液化天然氣（LNG）、有綠能科技如地熱發電，也有燃料電池等振奮人心的新科技。無論台灣有什麼需求，美國都能提供能源解方。在核能方面，美國準備好協助引進既有及新興技術，例如小型模組化反應爐（SMR），也樂意幫助台灣解決核廢料儲存的挑戰。」— 美國在台協會處長谷立言，今日新聞專訪，2025年4月29日
